PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, MD — Maryland Senator Anthony Muse along with four school board members, education unions throughout the County, and the NAACP will hold hearings and a forum on the state of education in the Prince George’s County. They want to hear from all this coming Thursday night June 8th, 2017.
The address for the meeting is 4444 Old Branch Ave, Temple Hills, MD 20748 Southern Friendship Baptist Church at 6:45pm. According to the information received, the voices of citizens should be heard. This is your time. You do have a voice to help the senator and all the other parties to address concerns.
According to many citizens throughout the Prince George’s County and senator Anthony Muse, Prince George’s County is being held hostage by a few people making all the decisions and have totally shut out the voices of the citizens. They have forced one decision after another on our citizens. From school closings to dirty trash filled streets, to taking away the right to elect school board members. Citizens no longer have a voice in who leads our school board. We are pushing kids out of school who we failed to educate. How can graduation rates be up yet test scores down. How do you give a one million dollar signing bonus to the CEO of schools and a 450 thousand dollar a year contract while our children are in filthy buildings and the teachers do not have the resources to teach. This establishment is the worst. He refuses to be a part of this out of control establishment. “It’s WRONG !!!!!” He wrote in his facebook post. (See below)
On June 1st, 2017, Prince George’s County Board of Education member Edward Burroughs III was prevented from sitting on the stage at a graduation ceremony in his district by school security and police officers at the beckoning of County CEO Dr. Kevin Maxwell. However, this is just a tip of the iceberg of what is wrong in this school District. A lot of problems are in progress starting with interference of the Maryland court system to interference with attorneys hired by the employees in a bribery scheme. There is also ongoing conspiracy involving some unions which represent workers in the county and illegal activities some involving the Prince George’s County Circuit Court, Court of Special Appeals for Maryland, U.S Supreme court among other issues.
