No Confidence vote on Dr. Kevin Maxwell and a request for State Attorney Angela Alsobrooks to launch investigation.

PGCPS CEO Dr. Kevin Maxwell and County Executive Rushern Baker need to go! Although the term for Rushern Baker III in public office is term limited, he is the main facilitator of many issues in Prince George’s County. However, the buck stops with Dr. Kevin Maxwell who is the CEO and answers to the Maryland State Board of Education and Rushern Baker III on local level. There have been too many instances of abuse, corruption, grade fixing, wrongful terminations etc. and no one is held accountable. There is NO political motive for this petition. We have met with many parents who need help on a variety of issues including a parent of a child in the district since 2013 and who have had problems with the district for all 5 years. We owe it to our children, our families and teachers to do better and show them how they are valued. Even taxpayers with no children deserve to know how their money is being spent.

It is imperative that we maintain the public’s trust in these positions. Hopefully this will be a lesson to other administrators with similar tendencies to overlook critical areas of the administration into covering up crimes.

Some accusations leading to the Community’s perception of betrayal and lack of confidence in CEO Kevin Maxwell this school year include:

1.) Careless personnel decision in the hiring of Christian Rhodes – Executive board liaison and strategic partners officer, including not investigating or monitoring his work. Also activities of Mr. Roger Thomas Esq. – Former Chief legal counsel who was fired and still works for the board on contracts, Shani K. Whisonant, Associate General Counsel involved in cover ups, fraud, paying off attorneys and intimidating witnesses in conjunction with Thatcher Law Firm and others.

2.) Wasteful spending of taxpayers’ monies and misrepresenting to the School Board and the Stakeholders unauthorized pay raises. 3.) Disrespect and disdain shown to Teachers, including stalling contract negotiations over the years now; not earmarking funds for Teachers when receiving federal monies; taking away Teachers’ steps.

4.) Allowing a flawed curriculum, including scope and sequencing of that curriculum, to launch in all PGCPS schools without the input of Teachers and other Stakeholders and without first implementing a test pilot of the program.

  • Lack of oversight for curriculum implementation
  • I.E.Ps are not being followed in PGCPS
  • IEPs are oversold in PGCPS schools. Often times, students just need more time to study a subject before going into a different topic…or they need to be moved to a place in class where they can best concentrate…or the teachers need to remove disruptive students after reasonable warning

5.) Ignoring critics of the flawed program and ignoring months of protests, calls, letters, pleas from the Students, Parents, Teachers and Administrators, i.e., all Stakeholders.

6.) Unwillingness to listen to “Stakeholders.”

7.) Characterizing certain Stakeholders as “elitists,” “disgruntled,” “distractions” etc.

8.) Intimidating Board members, Teachers, para professionals, witnesses and Parents who spoke out to correct problems.

9.) Initiating leave without pay for employees affecting the schools’ operations and their families.

10.) Not prioritizing school safety with regards to unfair salary and resource reductions for school police and allowing an illicit affair to flourish at Laurel High School between Principal Jones and affecting the entire County.

11.) Failing to meet/abide by the bus drivers’ contract terms.

12.) Misrepresenting matters of importance to the School Board members or keeping many things under the table including missing datelines as reported in the press.

13.) Initiating new leaders for Sasscer Building and giving high salaries as they mislead the county.

14.) Pumping lots of money in Sasscer Building at the Executive Cabinet level and allowing mismanagement to occur under unqualified Directors and managers involved in mismanagement.

15.) Allowing Principals involved in questionable activities including unprofessional relationships with their juniors to continue, creating a conflict of interest.

16.) Making false reports to stakeholders that there have not been illegal raises only to discover the opposite. Facilitating illegal schemes, working closely with the same corrosive Director Ms. Monica Goldson, in order to continue cover ups and mismanagement from years ago.

17.) Playing with numbers to confuse parents by changing grades to confuse everybody that everything is okay and the system is making “huge gains” in math and reading when the kids can’t read and write properly. This is corruption. The recent large scale fraud involving grade tampering is part of an organized scheme affecting graduation. 18.) Covering up corruption even when presented with facts.

19.) Ignoring immoral activities of The Association of Supervisory and Administrative School Personnel (ASASP) Union – especially its current leadership – Mr. Dwayne Jones (President) and– Mr. James Smallwood (Previous President). In particular, they are involved in sexual harassment of female staff and refuse to own up to the responsibility. (Focus on Largo and Laurel High Schools).

20.) Allowing PGCPS HR personnel to engage in illegal procedures as part of hiring practices in recruitment. Then, allowing the Chief HR who was a close friend from years ago to retire even after causing major violations.

21.) Increasing salaries and wages for human resources staff, and close associates while teachers, Bus drivers have not had a raise in years.

22.) Compromising the union activity to render them useless including striking corrupt deals at the expense of employees by hiring the Executive staff with ties to PGCEA such as Mr. Christian Rhodes and former Executive Director.

23.) Laying-off employees and then recalling only politically connected “friends”.

24.) Ignoring the state audits which identified several areas of concern including the IT Department inventory and audit function from years ago.

25.) Assisting with introduction of a profit bank (Capital One) which has gotten in trouble in the past for misleading practices with the public, so to have an organization like that around students seems questionable. Education is more effective when a profit margin is not needed. Therefore, a non-profit organization – instead of capital one would have been a more prudent alternative. To make things worse and illustrate sightedness, warpt and corrupt vision, he is trying to use this trial project as a model for High schools. Everyone knows Capital One is a callous credit card exploiter and repo-man. This Bank should never be allowed anywhere near children and students. These corrupt activities started with Dr. William Hite and are continuing with Dr. Kevin Maxwell.

26.) Encouraging what appears to be very unfair hiring practices which includes nepotism at Sasscer and throughout the school District hence creating a conflict of interest. Promoting politically connected friends starting with the wife of Delegate Dereck Davis to be Deputy CEO.

27.) Mismanagement or embezzlement of state assets; i.e.; Supervisors and others taking county assets home without any audit trail.

28.) Illicit enrichment; Promoting or ignoring illicit unauthorized activities.

29.) Punishment of persons who inform about improper conduct of public officials in retaliation;

30.) Dissemination of erroneous information or its provision seeking to mislead investigators;

31.) Damage to the public service – Promoting or turning a blind eye to illicit activities including unauthorized grade changes.

32.) Initiating unfair performance evaluation in which highly qualified teachers and support staff are terminated due to discrimination and kept in the legal system for many years.

33.) Interference of hearings and transcripts to facilitate corruption within Maryland.

34.) Allowing Delegate Derick Davis to run the whole school district by manipulating the rest of the Delegation in Annapolis from voting on critical bills in Annapolis affecting the whole school district.

35.) Facilitating the wrongful and discriminatory termination of Josephat Mua a teacher and an Information Technology Technician after he won an administrative appeal and other employees including Donna Goodman. Setting a precedence to terminate other teachers and professional staff wrongfully in order to continue the illegal agenda.

36.) Polarizing the administrative appeals and interfering with the local court system by engaging the county Executive Rushern Baker III and others to influence the judicial system in order make unfavorable rulings to employees they don’t like.

37.) Providing secret raises to highly connected friends. All counties in the state of Maryland aren’t facing secret raises, teachers fleeing, lack of interventions, contract violations, and noncompliance with special education law. All counties in the state aren’t ignored by their elected representatives.

38.) Allowing former PGCPS board member and former Maryland State Board President Dr. Charlene Dukes to facilitate Sexual abuse cover up in the county after failing to conduct hearings in the county concerning the same problems after she was given the mandate.

39.) Allowing unions to engage in discrimination and retaliation while working with the administration and then covering up crimes.

43.) Allowing a lack of sufficient security in school buildings to help prevent and break-up fights and to defend against dangerous situations (school shootings/attacks) at all Prince George’s County Public Schools.

  • How would you suggest that school security prevent fights, dangerous situation etc.
  • Lack of ADA compliant structures such as ramps, elevators, lifts and other reasonable accommodations at all Prince George’s County Public Schools.
  • In complete agreement.
  • Restrooms, cafeterias, classrooms in dire need of updating and other repair.

44.) Facilitating Parental retaliation throughout the county schools.

  • Parents experience academic retaliation against their students if they complain.
  • Bullying and isolation continue despite current Zero-Tolerance Policies.

45.) Facilitating lack of adherence to Administrative Policies.

  • Entering SchoolMax grades at least twice per week.
  • Lack of oversight to ensure implementation of Administrative Policies.

46.) Interference of the lawyers hired by employees and working with the Board lawyers and others. The following are engaged in a scheme facilitated by the Board of Education for Prince George’s County starting with the O’Neal Law firm of Ardra O’Neal; Abbey Hairston, PK Law; Bryan Chapman; Maryland State Education Association, Mitch Batt, Maryland State Department of Education, Linda Thatcher, Mark Murphy of MooneyGreen.com; Nathaniel Johnson of ASASP Union; Robert Cappell; ACE-AFSCME Local 2250, AFSCME International, California Casualty Indemnity Exchange, Raouf Abdullah; Sunkari hardnett, BDR transcriber and others.

47.) Dr. Maxwell failure to disclose that he was under investigation in his last job leading the Anne Arundel County school system for discriminatory practices against minority students. So why in the WORLD would Mr. Baker hire him to lead a school system where the majority of the students are minorities?!

48.) Dr. Maxwell working closely with Thatcher Law Firm hired Mr. James Fisher to help facilitate criminal activity involving millions of dollars. Instead of saving the money for other needs in the schools.  Thatcher law firm continued to outsource employees to cover-up the fraudulent activities. (See Let us demand an end to this fraud!)

49.) Retaliation against members of PGCEA after they reported widespread problems. The PGCEA Board of Directors and Representative Council passed a vote of no confidence in the school structure, CEO Maxwell, and County Executive Baker a couple of months ago, but that was before a request for a criminal investigation.

50.)  Failing to investigate whistle-blower claims in Information Technology and procurement Department after employees reported violations in those departments. The refusal of the County Delegation to appoint an Inspector General (IG) in the just concluded Maryland General Assembly and their failure to support critical bills meant to create accountability and transparency has nothing to do with the education of our children, but has EVERYTHING to do with the BILLIONS OF DOLLARS in school contracts! Therefore in order to continue the fraud and abuse at the expense of the county children. So if we are going to tell it, let’s be very clear on these issues.

After call to investigate schools chief, Prince George’s Co. candidates trade barbs

WASHINGTON — Two elected officials in Prince George’s County, both aiming to be the next county executive, are leveling accusations that each is politicizing their mutual call for the resignation of schools chief Kevin Maxwell.

On Wednesday, Maryland Sen. C. Anthony Muse sent a letter to Prince George’s County State’s Attorney Angela Alsobrooks — one of Muse’s rivals —  asking her to “formally launch an investigation into CEO Kevin Maxwell’s conduct while in office.”

“As you know it has been widely reported in the press about the cheating scandals that have occurred, allegations of mismanagement and also illegal pay raises,” Muse wrote to Alsobrooks.

Muse, Alsobrooks and former congresswoman Donna Edwards, who have all called for Maxwell’s resignation, are battling for the county’s top spot in the June 26 Democratic primary.

Alsobrooks dismissed Muse’s suggestion as “political tomfoolery,” saying Muse provided no evidence of criminal wrongdoing by MaxwellShe noted Muse launched his call for an investigation on his campaign’s Facebook page, during a Facebook Live video shot in his living room.

“As state’s attorney, I’m offended,” Alsobrooks told The Washington Post. “It is unethical, irresponsible and demonstrates an astonishing lack of understanding that is frightening.”

“I take issue with that,” Muse told WTOP. “In 2016, before I was running for any position of this nature, I called for the resignation of Kevin Maxwell. And in 2017, and in 2018.”

Alsobrooks last week cited “unauthorized” pay raises made to some top-level school employees as the reason she urged County Executive Rushern Baker to ask for Maxwell’s resignation.

Baker, who is at the end of his limited term, is running for governor.

While Alsobrooks attributed Muse’s call for an investigation to political motives, Muse was more circumspect, but only slightly.

“If we wanted to go down that road, I would find it kind of strange that two months before the election, she called for his resignation,” said Muse. “Many would say that’s political.”

Muse said Alsobrooks should look into grade-fixing, inflated graduation rates and mismanagement of the school system under Maxwell.

“Five thousand-plus of our children have been robbed of their education for life. It came down from somewhere. Teachers from various schools, from one side of the county to another, did not decide they were going to start fixing the grades of kids,” Muse said.

Muse said the grade-fixing scandal is enough evidence for Alsobrooks to launch an investigation.

“Let it start there — if she finds nothing, fine,” said Muse.

John Erzen, a spokesman for Alsobrooks in her role as state’s attorney, said she’d decline WTOP’s request to answer more questions about Muse’s allegations.

Muse disputed Alsobrooks’ accusation that his call for an investigation was based on politics.

“I don’t think we want to get into that argument. I’m still the sitting senator, who must do my job. She’s still the state’s attorney, who must do her job.”

Baker Says School Scandals Bolster His Credentials

Over the last year or so, the Prince Georges County school system has been tarred by one scandal after another: grade-fixing to boost graduation rates, secret raises for administrative personnel, alleged abuses in the Head Start program.

Theresa Mitchell-Dudley, president of the county teachers’ union, blames County Executive Rushern Baker, who wrested power from the elected school board five years ago.

“So, he’s responsible for a mess,” she said. “And if he wants to become governor he should fix the mess before he leaves it to somebody else.”

Baker, running for governor in a crowded Democratic primary field, argued during an interview that his travails with the county school system help make the case for his gubernatorial bid.

“I think this is what puts me in the best position to lead the state as governor,” he explained.

“If you look at the tough challenges that we’ve had in the county, they are the same challenges that people face throughout school systems in the state.”

As a leader, he said, you have to be able to take on those issues, deal with them up front, and do the best for the citizens and residents of the state.

Baker’s opposition to the county’s school systems’ various forms of management by elected school boards dates back nearly two decades.

As chairman of the county House delegation in 2002, he led a successful drive in the General Assembly to replace the elected board with one appointed by the governor and county executive.

A decade later, as county executive, he convinced his legislative colleagues to allow him to wrest control of the schools from an elected board that had resurfaced in 2006.

“It was a period where nothing was happening in the school system,” Baker explained. “There was a lot of corruption, there were issues with misuse of funds and credit cards. Trips that were taken by school board members. That, and I think frustration was not only with the residents of the county but also with the state legislature.”

Under the bill passed in 2013, the county executive has the power to both hire the school system’s chief executive officer and appoint the chairman and vice-chairman of the school board. That structure has protected controversial schools’ chief Kevin Maxwell, who Hogan and others say should be fired.

Mitchell-Dudley, the union leader, complains that Baker has effectively done away with checks and balances.

“When the most important part of your budget, which is your school system, is a publicity nightmare then you really need to re-evaluate how it’s structured and how it’s doing,” she said.

With his race for the governor’s mansion, Baker, 59, is capping a career that began with a star turn in the General Assembly, where he rose quickly to be leader of his county’s House delegation and was a protégé of the highly respected appropriations committee chairman Pete Rawlings.

After two terms, Baker took a pass on what looked like a safe bid for the state Senate to pursue a quest for the county executive post. He lost twice, but won the 2010 race as two-term executive Jack Johnson headed off to jail on political corruption charges, leaving Baker to clean up a mess.

“I finally get there,” he recalled, “and there’s a $77 million budget deficit, the FBI is doing an investigation of the county. I had to fire everyone in a decision-making position. Wall Street was nervous about the county because we had a Triple A bond rating, but Wall Street was nervous because federal dollars had been stolen, and homicides went up.”

And then there were the natural disasters; a record breaking snowstorm right after he took office, a deadly derecho with sustained 70 mph winds that snapped trees and power lines and caused deaths across the state and storms that led to flash flooding.

“So there was a lot going on when I took over,” he said.

Congressman Steny Hoyer, a long-time friend who has endorsed Baker for governor, said he thinks that drama put a special burden on Baker to make clear that all pols aren’t crooks.

“Prince Georges County had an image that perhaps our politicians weren’t honest. And I think Rushern Baker has reinstated an image of integrity and honesty and commitment to good government,” Hoyer said “So, I think from that standpoint, he’s been an excellent county executive.”

Baker also enjoys support, or at least kind thoughts, from the many politicians of both parties he has worked with over the last three decades.

They include former Lt. Gov. Michael Steele, a long-time Prince Georges County resident, who served as national Republican Party chairman. He’s a strong supporter of incumbent Republican Governor Larry Hogan, but also a fan of Baker’s.

“He’s a real good guy,” Steele said. “He’s a very dedicated public servant and has done a good job here in the county.”

Politics and policy aside, perhaps the most compelling element of the Baker campaign is the story of how he and his family have dealt with his wife, Christa’s, diagnosis with early onset dementia.  They got the news shortly before he was elected to his first term as county executive.

Both were once young community activist lawyers, who got their law degrees from Howard University. Christa worked at the federal level specializing in civil rights and protecting Historically Black Colleges and Universities.

Baker spent those years between county executive bids as leader of a non-profit that recruits and trains teachers to work in schools with diverse populations and urban problems.

“I tell people I spent half my time as a public servant in elective office and the other half as a public servant running two non-profits,” he said.  “I think all of those experiences come together to make what I believe will make the state better.”

But a video on Baker’s campaign website titled the “First Family’s Long Goodbye” tells a sadder story. Baker is feeding Christa on the video because he says she’s way past doing that by herself.

“She’s doing good,” he insisted, his voice cracking. “I mean everything considered. She’s not verbal anymore and doesn’t walk, but you know we are blessed. We’ve got a great support group.”

Baker says he’s come to realize that a lot of folks deal with such traumas.

“And yet, they get up and go to work every day and so with me, especially giving the blessings that I have, I thought it was important that if I felt an obligation to do that.”

What also keeps him going, Baker said is that he feels like he is keeping part of a bargain he and Christa made many years ago.

“This is something that my wife and I have dedicated our lives to: public service.”

As it happens, Hogan has his own personal story of a battle with cancer that seemed to boost his poll numbers with voters. Michael Steele says those tales would be part of the story line if Baker wins the Democratic nomination.

“But I think in terms of how the campaigns–each of the campaigns—ultimately come out, that’s going to be how these men have governed and managed the state and the county respectively,” Steele said.

With Baker leading so far in Democratic polls, and Hogan not facing any Republican challenger, it looks like we may soon find out.

More questionable, large raises exposed at Prince George’s County Public Schools

– Three Prince George’s County School Board members are exposing more questionable raises in the school’s central office, alleging that the salary increases violate state law.

“Dr. Maxwell has unilaterally approved three-step (9.4 percent) and four step (16 percent) increases for select individuals in the central office,” reads a letter from Edward Burroughs, David Murray and Raaheela Ahmed to County Executive Rushern Baker.

 The board members reference findings of an internal audit that investigated whether there were unauthorized raises given in the deputy superintendent’s office. Board members say the latest audit found several additional cases of unauthorized raises.

“Combined with the unauthorized salary increases we wrote to you about in March 2018, there are now three separate departments receiving unauthorized salary increases. This is a reckless disregard for taxpayer dollars in Prince George’s County” the letter reads.

Under state law, the CEO of Prince George’s County Schools has authority to hire and set salaries for his executive staff.

Board members say the raises identified in the latest audit violate the law because they required approval from the school board since the employees are not part of Schools CEO Dr. Maxwell’s executive team.

School spokesman John White denied FOX 5’s request to view the audit because he says the auditing process is not complete. White says a review and response to the document is pending. White also says, despite the language in state law, Dr. Maxwell has the power to give raises to a host of employees in central office if the increases are based on additional job responsibilities. On Tuesday, FOX 5 requested the specific policy that gives him those powers, but no such written policy has been provided.

The board received a verbal briefing on the audit results two weeks ago. After the briefing on April 12, a board spokeswoman told FOX 5 via email, “The Board was informed that these increases were not ‘unauthorized.’ The Board continues to be engaged in this process and will await results from the full audit.”

This latest information comes after a series of raises in the central office came under scrutiny. First, it was exposed that there were six unauthorized raises given in the school system’s Human Resources department. Dr. Maxwell claims he was unaware those raises were given and a spokesman says the salary increases have since been corrected.

Then, FOX 5 was first to report on massive salary increases for members of Maxwell’s executive team, with some receiving increases between $35,000 and $50,000 in just a few years. While Maxwell had authority to give the raises, there has been intense scrutiny about the large percentage increases when teachers, principals and other schools staff typically receive three percent increases per year.

The raises prompted teacher protests, calls for a sickout and instatement of work-to-rule.

Dr. Maxwell has refused repeated requests for interviews about the executive staff raises. He has also not provided the detailed explanation requested by the full school board more than two weeks ago.

In their latest letter to Baker, which was also provided to FOX 5, the board members say the school system is in a crisis.

“We need your immediate intervention to resolve these management issues. Our students and employees deserve smart, forthcoming, honest, and ethical leadership. The mismanagement in PGCPS has been a distraction from the work and goals we have for our students. We are coming to you, to request your immediate intervention to resolve this issue, and hold leadership accountable for this wrongdoing,” the letter reads.

County Executive Baker’s office says Thursday that there was no comment.

Where is the Outrage in PGCPS?

Maryland state Sen. C. Anthony Muse request for an investigation is hitting major road blocks after asking the Prince George’s state’s attorney — one of his rivals in the race for county executive — to investigate schools chief Kevin Maxwell, a request the county’s top prosecutor called inappropriate and ­“political tomfoolery.”

In the midst of major criminal undertaking, will you find in Prince George’s county, poor, innocent children; families who are unfortunately victimized, and even staff who have been out in the cold without hearings on drum up charges for years. All of this under the monetary strength of taxpayers’ hard earned dollars.

There is something sadly skewed with Prince George’s county community’s moral priorities as we move on to June 26th primary election.

We are sure many of you have been following the growing uproar in our blogs which have advocated for several changes in our school system in the last eight years.

Countless administrators of Prince George’s County at Sasscer Administration Building, and even elsewhere within the county, could not possibly get away with such abuse. This is unless many others decided to be complicit in turning a blind eye in various illegal activities, including sexual abuse of innocent kids, illegal pay raises, tortious interference of counsels hired by staff, scheming – the list goes on. Why do PGCPS leaders tolerate the presence of colleagues who sexually abuse innocent staff, young children and vulnerable adults? Why do people in the pews refuse to rise up and demand that their leaders be held accountable? Why do we see the hard working men and women continue to put up with the various unions they belong to starting with ASASP, ACE-AFSCME Local 2250, and PGCEA? Where’s the accountability? Where’s the outrage?

Why can’t citizens of Prince George’s county and around Maryland call upon their leaders to demand an investigation on crimes committed in PGCPS after their clear, fraudulent agenda which includes illegitimate grade-changes in the county? Where’s the outrage?

Why don’t people at The School District of Philadelphia in Philadelphia demand the resignation of Prince George’s County’s own Dr. William Hite Jr, who admittedly kept quiet about staff members involved in sexual related activity and abuse of kids?

Why doesn’t staff at Sasscer Administration Building demand the resignation of Dr. Kevin Maxwell, about whom there is significant evidence regarding his knowledge of a host of problems to include sexual abuse of children when he arrived in June 2013? Where’s the outrage?

Where is the outrage when an 8 year old girl is sexually abused and taken advantage of in an environment which is supposed to be safe and conducive for learning?

Where is the outrage when a 13-year-old girl who died after she was struck by a car while trying to catch a school bus?

Where is the outrage when a high school coach initiates a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old female student?

Where is the outrage in the wake of the slaying of students in the schools?

Where is the outrage when PGCPS becomes an epicenter for exporting corruption to other states?

Where is the outrage when a high school Principal is targeted for secret recordings without his knowledge and without a court order?

Why do so many people act as though staff- sex abuse cover-ups and other criminal activities are no big deal?

Where is the outrage when a Sexual Predator and Convicted Robber is running for office in PG County?

Where is the outrage when Maryland delegate Dereck E. Davis creates a law and advances an agenda to benefit personally together with his wife?  Where is the outrage?

Where is the outrage when PGC Senate Delegation refuses to vote on PGCPS Inspector General bill due to conflicts of interest?

Where is the outrage when a cover up ensues to whitewash wrong doing? Where is the outrage?

We commend the vigilant teacher and the Principal at Glenn Dale Elementary school  for their bravery and honor their actions against the monstrosities. Hopefully, in the beginning of the school year, the schools of PGCPS could implement a system that gauges whether the interactions and behaviors of teachers and students are deemed appropriate or inappropriate. Furthermore, they should implement steps to take if there has been a violation to these rules. Proper public hearings involving all stakeholders should be held on several occasions to listen to the citizens’ concerns. It is best to observe on the grassroots-level because this is closest to the community, and the people will see for themselves an impossibility of any room for further covers-ups. We must listen and find the best practices, since the future is always around the corner.

“Politicians, parents, Churches, TV/Radio personalities etc, should respond with righteous outrage and anger at such crimes against innocent staff, children who have been victims of leaders whom they trust in their own schools and offices,” But where is that outrage?

Even now, has anything changed? Have any of those who covered up and kept quiet in the past about the constant abuse been held accountable? We appreciated the passage of HB 1107 to make proper changes in PGCPS, but was it genuine or legitimate? Was it too little, too late for some? The Prince George’s County delegation sat on bills and failed to schedule proper hearings  in order to make a change to the governance structure. Instead, they bought breakfast for parents to dupe them, and still got the union endorsement. Again, Where is the outrage?

And what about the epicenter of the corruption in PGCPS led by labor relations Director and previous chief legal counsel? Is anyone outraged at the fact that their long-time attorney threatened to sue abused victims even when the abuse was readily substantiated? It certainly doesn’t appear that way, even as these individuals are being caught red handed stealing. Where is the outrage?

The previous Prince George’s County Board of Education Chair Verjeana M. Jacobs, and the current Chair Segun C. Eubanks have known about these problems for many years now, and have continued to keep quiet in conspiracy with the corrupt Unions. Dr. Segun the current Chair is a brother-in-law to County Executive Rushern Baker III. He was apparently content in leaving countless other children and staff at risk. Yet, he is still the Board of Education Chairperson after HB 1107 went into effect on June 1, 2013. Where’s the outrage?

Where is the outrage when the Director of communications in PGCPS is inclined to create false reports to maintain the status-quo of the ailing PG County school system in cohort with the current Board chair while abusing the County Executive? (See PGCPSLies) Where’s the outrage?

And what about the fact that a man with a substantiated report of having sexually molested a child was still driving a School Bus, even after the fact the school leaders knew of his tendencies in PGCPS. And wouldn’t you know, this kept happening after several leaders had been informed at Sasscer Administrative Building. Those men and women are still in leadership positions including Ms. Monica Goldson, the current Chief Operating Officer who knew about discrimination. Is there any accountability for the willful blindness of PGCPS leaders who leave kids and others in harm’s way for predators? Where is the outrage?

What about the Union leadership and others smooching in the closets in PGCPS schools while refusing to take responsibility for their actions? Where is the outrage?

By defending and covering up for Dr. Kevin Maxwell, and not Senator Anthony Muse or Congress woman Donna Edwards , the media has shown some revealing inconsistencies in its concerns about free speech and human rights.

What happens when a lawyer violates the rules of ethics and is paid off  in Prince George’s County and under the table to look the other way to hurt his or her client? Where is the outrage?

It is easy enough to look at the perpetrators and simply say, “Therein lies the problem.” But what about all the enablers? What about the many leaders who turn a blind eye like Board of Education Chairperson Segun C. Eubanks, County Executive Rushern Baker III,  who allowed staff molesters including Union leaders in PGCPS to move on to other schools, offices etc. where they are apt to find fresh new prey? Where is the outrage?
