Prince George’s County Police say the couple argued, and it escalated to a stabbing.
A Bladensburg woman has been charged in the fatal stabbing of her boyfriend, according to Prince George’s County Police.
The suspect in what police call a domestic-related homicide Sunday is Portia Nikkia Williams, 28, of the 6000 block of Logan Way in Bladensburg.
About 5 a.m. Sunday, patrol officers were called to the 3000 block of Branch Avenue in Hillcrest Heights for the report of a stabbing. When they arrived at the victim’s apartment, police found Richardo Donnell Johnson, 28, suffering from an apparent stab wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
Investigators say Williams went to the victim’s home Sunday, where they argued, and that led to the fatal stabbing. The victim and suspect had been in a romantic relationship.
Williams was at the scene when officers arrived. She is charged with second-degree murder and first-degree assault.
