PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. — A lockdown at a Prince George’s County high school was lifted shortly before 12 p.m. Thursday after nothing was found during a search of the school and surrounding areas, Prince George’s Police reports.
Friendly High School in Prince George’s County was placed on a lockdown around 11 a.m. as police investigated a threat made against the school on social media, Prince George’s County Public School officials confirmed with ABC7.
Police reported they worked with school officials to investigate the threat.
No further details have been released.
In addition late last week, a student at Bladensburg High School announced to a teacher there that he had a gun. Out of caution, the teacher filed a report with the court in Upper Marlboro early this week.
