A man suspected of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl in Forestville has the word “blessed” tattooed on his neck, according to new details that authorities released Monday.
The additional description of the suspect that police are looking for in connection with the alleged May 13 assault emerged after the girl’s mother reportedly saw the man and tackled him to the ground Friday, Prince George’s County police said.
The man broke free from the tackle, and the mother was not injured, police said.
Along with the neck tattoo, the man suspected in the attack had a tattoo of stars on each of his shoulders and a birthmark or scar on his face, police said.
Police said a man sexually assaulted the 12-year-old about 7 a.m. Wednesday after following her into an elevator of an apartment building in the 2100 block of Brooks Drive. Police have released video of a suspect they’ve been looking for in the case.
There’s a $25,000 reward for any information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
Police are asking anyone with information to call (301) 772-4908 or, to remain anonymous, 1-866-411-TIPS (8477).
